The Alpha Delta Pi Foundation will again sponsor a “Getting Fit” series at Grand Convention. This year’s lineup includes a digital half-marathon with a finisher’s breakfast, group walks and runs, and a session on networking. Convention attendees can register online by 10 a.m. on Monday, June 15th for the “Getting Fit with the Foundation” series.
The week begins with a Digital Half-Marathon to Benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix. Use the device of your choice (FitBit, Jawbone, phone app, pedometer, etc.) to track your steps in completing 13.1 miles from the time you arrive at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess through a Saturday morning Finisher’s Breakfast hosted by the Foundation. Your $15 in advance or $20 on-site entry fee benefits RMHC of Phoenix.
We’ll get everyone warmed up for the day on Thursday with a Group Walk/Run across the 65 acre resort. Participants will join Foundation volunteers and staff for a choose-your-own-distance walk or run overlooking the Sonoran Desert and majestic McDowell Mountains. Breakfast bars will also be provided. There is no fee to participate, but advance registration is requested so we have enough breakfast bars for everyone.
On Friday morning, Get Professional with the Foundation. Christie Ellis, Certified Go-Giver Coach and 2014 Ahwatukee, Arizona’s Business Woman of the Year, will join us to share her networking advice. Enjoy a continental breakfast and put those tips to work immediately following her presentation. Even if you’re a seasoned pro, please join us for breakfast and to help attendees practice their new skills. There is no fee to participate, but advance registration is requested so we can plan for breakfast.
We’ll wrap up our series with a Digital Half-Marathon Finisher’s Breakfast. In addition to a continental breakfast, guests will enjoy a sneak peek at the Foundation’s new philanthropy video. Registration for the Digital Half-Marathon is required to attend this event.
We look forward to everyone Getting Fit with the Foundation in Scottsdale!
