Make the Most of Your Breakout Sessions

Unsure about where you’re going to be headed tomorrow for your breakout sessions? Well we have the inside scoop! Here’s some tips to maximize your breakout session experience.

  • Plan your day. You will be attending three breakout sessions (two in the morning and one after the Panhellenic Luncheon). Make sure to consult your program book (page 8). ahead of time to read the breakout session descriptions and plan which session you’ll be attending first, second and third. Not all breakouts are offered at every session and you don’t want to miss out on a great presentation!
  • Make sure to come prepared. Each session will be full of useful information and tips so come prepared. Don’t be afraid to take notes, ask questions and talk to the presenter after the session. These sessions are meant to be learning experiences and we love engaged sisters.
  • Get social. If you haven’t seen already, sisters are using social media every day during Convention. Use the hashtag #ADPiDallas in all of your social media posts to connect with other sisters. Just a reminder, please be respectful to the presenter. If there is a great takeaway from a session you would like to post, write it down in your notebook and tweet it during the break. You never know when Alpha Delta Pi will retweet!
  • Share your knowledge.  Grand Convention teaches you so much about Alpha Delta Pi as an international organization, don’t leave it in Dallas! Share your new knowledge with your chapter, alumnae association and house corp. sisters (that’s why it’s great to take notes!).

These breakouts are meant to benefit you so take advantage! We can’t wait to see what everyone is learning on the #ADPiDallas hashtag!
